Hey my lovely , how are you ? Randomly i was driving one day, running errands and this thought came to me. Is there a time in our lives where life becomes less colourful? My curious mind wonders as my son starts a new phase in his life. End of GCSE’s means time is freed up over the summer, with places to go and people to see . Money becomes something that creates a whole new world. Jobs, responsibilities, pressure to keep up. I think about my own life and the times where theres been little to no colour. Struggling with my own traumas. Times ,where my life is so vibrant I can’t contain the love I have inside me, the abundance spilling over . Enjoying all the small things as if they were Jewels. So what’s the key to inviting colour into our lives? Again I ponder. What experience have brought my life to feel more colourful? ✨creativity & play ✨ Here are some suggestions how to bring play and creativity into your world. 🌱 collect and sorting fallen foraged Items ( I like to call these gifts) is playful and soothing. 🌱Buying flowers. Make an altar when flowers are dry or when fresh, whatever feels more playful to you. 🌱Look for 5 minutes at one object you collected whilst you were out. Study it, how many i wonders can you come up with ( eg, I wonder where this gift has travelled from? How long has it’s been alive? Ect) 🌱paint, draw or write nature it’s self. 🌱place a gift you’ve collected somewhere you can admire it each day, as a reminder how brilliant nature is, that includes you to! Remember you are nature. 🌱Dance out side, amongst the trees, in front of the sea. For me it started with just watching the sea and being blown about in the wind when I was too ill to work. Just sitting and admiring something greater than me gave me such comfort. Watching how alive the sea was. I wished so hard that I would feel alive again. I painted my feelings. Im a sensitive one, I feel deeply. The canvas heals so much pain. Nature was with me , within me. Once I’d noticed, I saw it everywhere. The brilliant Bridget Anna McNeill quote from her brilliant book the wild within. And if your in that place of colourless perhaps this is a gentle nudge to Mother Nature herself. She will hold you not matter what.
